I cleaned up my messy inbox and reduced incoming private mail to a handful. Love it!

I use Clean Email. There are several similar apps.

It’s a little complicated at first. It’s like a remote control center for your emails. Once you get the hang of it it’s intuitive and saves you lots of time.  
If I would start again I would first try a secondary email address (I have two private email addresses, both from the very beginning of email, when it felt sophisticated and exciting to receive them…).   
I love that you can unsubscribe very quickly and create rules for newsletters to go to a “read later“ folder. It screens new senders and labels mail in which you are cc-ed. I hope that helps.
