Is it just me or are others finding it hard to “get it together” for the holidays? I’ve been getting super depressed recently and I feel like I’m falling into the void (which sucks, obviously). But it also feels like it’s making my ADHD worse somehow.

I already have a thousand mental health issues that I have to work my way through every day. I lost my husband in 2022 and that was such a traumatic experience for me. We have a 4 year old, 2 at the time, and I have struggled so hard to get back into holidays and other exciting events he would enjoy so much.

I don’t know. Maybe I just needed to let that out. I’m gonna go cry now.

All my support is with you. Sorry for your loss

I feel guilty about not having a “Holiday mood” for all holidays all the time

It is okay to not have a holiday mood. You are a human, not a robot

I know. Especially since my kiddo is so young. I feel like this is all supposed to be a magical time for him and I feel guilty that I just don’t have it in me all of the time.
