It was diagnosed 15 years ago, I had completely pushed it aside after a medication went wrong. For about 1 year now, it has caught up with me and overwhelmed me. Since the birth of my daughter 2.5 years ago, almost everything from therapy naturally no longer works. Because now I am also responsible for another person and not just myself. Knowing why I am the way I am - that is currently my basis for building a bond and relationship with my child. Knowing who you are is important to take responsibility for your life. With the medication, a lot has changed for the better.

Answered so many questions and explained so many things I was struggling with my whole life! Now I know what’s going on and I can quit blaming myself and start problem solving!

Yes and No. It helped to solve the many mysteries and that felt good but I still struggle to do the Basics of Living.

Slowly working at building the supports I need so overall happy to know what’s going on so I can deal with it effectively

I must have been 4 years old when I was told I was ASD + ADHD + HPI. I admit I didn't understand, and it didn't change anything for me. I didn't really see the difference, you know...

I’m a 50 year-old female. I was just diagnosed this past year. I’ve strongly suspect that I had ADHD since I was 23 years old, but because all the research was done on male children, it all said that I didn’t meet the criteria. Knowing that I was right all this time and but there’s all these tools out there to help me cope and to explain the way I am does help, but it doesn’t solve everything.
