Or at least I can feel it coming. Any tips on how to deal with these better?

Rest,
And i personally disagree with over doing things. Follow your energy on the moment. Write down your little victories.

I agree. I find it helpful to write a “To-Done” list. Instead of writing a list of things I need to do, I write a list of things I’ve done. No matter how trivial, it gets on the list. Got out of bed? On the list it goes. Let my dog out? Done! ☺️

Embrace the depression and get under the covers, cry if you need to, and lay around but sweet a time and when the timer goes off, go outside for sunlight and go walking like 10-15 minutes, even just around your back yard or something. Drink some water. If you like showers, when you come back inside, shower and get dressed even if you’re staying home, even put on shoes.
Then start whatever you need to do for the day!

I hope you feel better!

Even just changing into clean pajamas can change how you feel

My husband always tells me to « be a body », meaning he wants me to stop overthinking and living in my head by focusing on my physical needs : deep breathing several times a day ; moving (like lots of people said) ; eating healthy meals and sleeping enough. A little like hibernating (focusing on your core needs) but in the sunlight and nature as much as possible…
Hope you’ll start to feel better soon…

Taking prescribed medication. It works like magic 🪄

And if it doesn’t, let your healthcare provider know. Sometimes you need a different med, a dose change, or an additional medication to supplement.

Write down 3 things you are grateful for each day.

I join the advice to sunbathe.
Force yourself to walk at least once a day for 15 minutes, stretch, and write down on a sheet of paper the things you've done (even the smallest ones).

At the end, write down on another sheet of paper the good things or the good thing about the day, even the silliest or most obvious one.

Finally, if possible, talk about it with someone you trust; I know it's difficult, but try. It's simpler when there are two of you.

Music helps for me. If you know the songs that just make you smile when you hear them, those are the ones I would suggest you listen to now.

Value every single act/thought of kindness to yourself

Be grateful

Drink water and eat healthy

Try meditation or mindfulness!
