# Differentiating between liking someone and fixating on them

I very often struggle to differentiate between when i truly have feelings for someone and when just fixate on them. I often wonder, do i like them?? or do i like the idea of them? how can i tell when which is which?

this is something i struggle with too! i don’t know how to tell the difference - other than waiting to see if it burns out
