That’s what works for me! My keys are on a wrist lanyard so at my old place I hung them and my wallet (also on a neck lanyard) on the doorknob. I felt like that way if there was ever an emergency I would have my keys at the most likely exit. Now that I’m sharing a house with family, I have a hook near where shoes come off and most days I remember to put my keys and lanyard there.

I have one, but it doesn’t work out for me. Funnily enough though, I have a basket under my key hook that has a handle on it and I either put it in the basket or hang it on the handle 🤷🏻‍♀️
