It’s the mental preparation for me, plus I have to shower either first thing in the morning or late at night (any other time of day at it’s pointless because the hot flashes make me all sweaty again).

I like showers, but on days when I'm stressed and have more sensory issues, it's too loud.   
I usually know I'm depressed when I don't feel like grabbing a shower..   
Have you tried a bath instead? Maybe you'll like that more..
