# Hack of the Day

Today that was something like: Double or triple the time you think a task is gonna take to prevent stress/anxiety of failure.  
Does that work for anybody? If I give myself more time to do something, I will know and, ta dah, still start the task "to late".

It does work for me but I still have to think more about starting then completing it in time.

I have the exact same issue. And I haven’t figured out how to manage it for doing a task yet. I’ve tried setting timers and such to try to train myself to do things faster once I finally start them, but I end up just ignoring them. If anyone on here has figured out this puzzle, I’d love to know too!

Yes same! But for me This comes with the same mentality no matter how much time estimate is never enough because I think oh that should be a simple task I got this, but once I’m focused on the task at hand, time disappears as a priority and I underestimate my own perfectionism.
