I'm only on day 2 of methylphenidate, but after the initial tiny system shock yesterday I don't feel anything. I though the improvement would last more than 24hrs before my body was like "Bored now. Please try again next time."

Thankfully I know I’m a lightweight thanks to genetic testing we did specifically around med tolerance so I dialed in really quickly

Has anyone felt more tired when taking meds, I also kind of feel my thinking is even slower than normal kind of brain foggy!

I wish we could have a window into a “normal” brain so we could see if meds working. I’ve been on Elvanse for around 10 weeks and can’t say i feel too much difference! Other half says I’m slightly less chaotic and ditzy though! Only on 50mg atm though.

once i found the right group for me (the "adderalls") it took a couple months to sort the fact i needed extended release with re-ups of instant

It took me over a year to find the right med with minimal side effects and I still have that feeling of, “is it working or not?” Sorry to say but not everyone gets the clear head from the second you start meds.

Takes everyone a bit different but can be 4-6 weeks for the body to build it up and figure out what to do with it. \*not a doctor (insomniac with a knack for research).
