Mi è stata diagnosticata la condizione quando avevo vent'anni. Da bambino, gli insegnanti dicevano a mia madre che pensavano fossi sotto l'effetto di droghe (già all'età di 9 anni) perché non riuscivo a concentrarmi abbastanza per imparare nulla a scuola e invece sognavo ad occhi aperti e scarabocchiavo costantemente nei miei libri. Vorrei essere stato diagnosticato allora per ottenere aiuto prima, ma d'altra parte, non sono sicuro che avrei ricevuto un buon aiuto comunque... Per questo motivo ho fatto del mio meglio per far sì che i miei figli si sottopongano a una valutazione per vedere se anche loro ce l'hanno, il prima possibile... Ma sfortunatamente la sanità e le scuole cercano sempre di respingere e sminuire tutto quello che dico come se non avessi idea di cosa sto parlando.

I was basically diagnosed as a child like age 5 I couldn’t sit still in school and was always sent home I wish my mother did something back than it’s sad now knowing all about adhd with research of course

I wish I could have been diagnosed when I was a kid.  I was always called lazy with potential.  My life could have ended up so differently. 😢  
Now that I’m on medication and the fog has lifted it’s like living a completely different life.  A really good “normal” life. 🙏🏻

Feel this, so hard. Even after Dx, minimal support, no treatment. 2025, y'all...time figure stuff out! (Medical community, mean. 😏😊)

It is really important to find someone that is well versed in ADHD and also keeps up with the new information coming out.  It also really helps to find someone that you can connect with.  That is how you get the best results.
