Someone else asked this very same question! So I’m just going to cut and paste. I hope you find this useful! I used to call it “fruck” - frozen + stuck. After poking around a little bit on the internet, looking for how to eject myself from this maddening state, I found the “Wall of Awful”, a term coined by Brendan Mayan. Reading about it and what strategies do and don’t work sooo helped me wrap my brain around what this fruckness really was. Here is a link to Brendan Mahan’s Wall of Awful page: www.adhdessentials.com/essentials/the-wall-of-awful/ Sometimes it helps to break everything down to its smallest, teeny tiniest bit that does not make your stomach hurt or choose an unrelated task that you like doing that will get you moving, and just start there.
