Do you meditate?

My mind never stops wandering, and if I somehow manage to quiet it, I just fall asleep or get really sleepy…

People say meditation helps ADHD, but my ADHD make meditation impossible. How do you do it?

You know there’s also another option which is “consistently trying.” A “chaotic discipline” of sorts. That’s me.

I guess, that's why I'm great at "being pain in the a.." with persons, who need it

My understanding is that most people’s minds wander. Just bring it back in when you realize it’s happening. You need to keep trying if you want any benefit from it.

Guided meditation helps me a lot ! And when I definitely can’t shush my mind, I find yoga, practicing a sport, dancing, listening to certain types of music or playing an instrument/singing can get me there too :)

I do good with guided meditation, but meditating alone is nearly impossible.

Team guided meditations 🙌! I love everything guided, also dynamic meditations with soft motion and stress/tension release classes

Since a few months (I'm 50 now)
I do listen to YT videos, they bring back my thoughts, but I don't care any more, if i'm following the hole time.
Sometimes I do, sometimes I fall asleep. Sometimes I feel understood, despends on the content.
But it's not important for me to function anymore.

They keep the calm/the fokus or the string of a story for me.

I don't yell at myself anymore.

I just come back if I realise.
And if not -it just doesn't serve me in that moment.

Tapping meditation is nice!
“Tapping with Brad” is free, on YouTube or Spotify, etc.
Also, somatic meditation is great for regulation, and you get to lay or sit in whatever position works for you.

Hiii also the app Petit Bambou is really nice for meditating with music, they’re a premium version but the free one is still nice. They’re also cardiac coherence if you want to try!

Also they is this channel on YouTube which provides adhd meditations/ emotional regulation etc : https://youtube.com/@meditate\_with\_lily?si=3BjLqcJsH0xQfAB2
