Getting up for work

I’ve recently started a new job after a few months of not being employed. I’ve always had trouble getting up in the morning and don’t want this to become a problem again. Does anyone have any tips for how to encourage yourself to get out of bed when you really don’t want to?

There are apps that make you have to do a task or get up and scan a barcode before they can be turned off. I never found a permanent solution for this so my advice is to ask for an accommodation if you can or create a lifestyle that doesn’t revolve around being on-time. Sorry not more helpful. Good luck!

Also, giving myself an extra hour in the morning means that I am fully functioning by the time work time hits, more so than if I get that extra hour of sleep.

Put your alarm across the room so you have to get out of bed to turn it off!

After trying a lot of things for waking up problem, this surprisingly worked for me perfectly: I downloaded an alarm app called "I Can't Wake Up". In this app, there are some things you must do to shut the alarm off. For me, the "barcod" thing works. I put a barcod to my bathroom and without scanning it, the alarm cannot be turned off 😅. So, I go bathroom with my phone. And as I am in the batroom, I wash my face, and the day begins... 😅😅
