I tell myself that someone like me wouldn't help me and I wouldn't be able to help them in return… the couple wouldn't last… on the other hand, someone different would compensate for the problems and discussing difficulties with that person could make the couple progress, even if they feel like a parent raising a child (many people don't like that). But if that person understands, and when they can no longer be a parent but then says they're sorry but sometimes you have to set limits (which is absolutely normal), that's when you've found the right person!! 🙌🏼🫶🏼🥰
Yes, that’s actually true. The best of both worlds would be a neurodivergent partner who complements you. You don’t have to constantly explain yourself, and ideally, you still have a good balance, the best conditions for a healthy relationship. Thank you
Thanks for sharing. You’re bringing up exactly the same points I had in mind🙏 With a neurodivergent person, you might feel a deep connection faster at first, but it can also mean double trouble, all the weak points in the relationship can hit twice as hard. With a neurotypical partner, in the best case, one brings structure (like the “part-time parent” role you mentioned), while the other brings spontaneity to the table.
Afterwards, I kept thinking about it, but a neurodivergent person doesn't necessarily have the same problems as us. I think you need to find someone who complements you but isn't too different either, because you have to live with them every day! It can be challenging if they're too different from you... But then again, it would be too simple to find your "soulmate" just like that! 😅😅
