1. melatonin - this works for some people but personally it makes me groggy. i sleep really hard, but i still feel drained. its like an afterschool nap where you’re still exhausted afterwards, but your body feels good. 2. meds - i’ve struggled a long time with sleeping, and my mom and therapist suggested i take medication like Ativan. it may work for some people, but i’ve heard that ativan and other sleeping medication can have bad side effects such as loss of memory and losing inhibitions. 3. marijuana - currently this is what i do, and it helps relax my mind and body to wind down. i notice i sleep much more consistently, and i also dream more. 4. sounds - my sister used to use pink, brown, and white noises to help her sleep. i personally put on a show that i’ve seen many times at a low volume. some people also listen to music quietly, it can be loud and energetic, though personally slow and quiet music helped me the most. 5. winding down early can also help, such as avoiding screens and cool white lighting ( lights in bedroom should usually be warm white, easier on the eyes )

Doing something calming like listening to silk and sonders daily ritual, or audible books on tape, my mom always listened to the weather channel in the 90s, before binaural beats there was warren G saxophone on endless loops - turns out she is adhd too, meds scare me, afraid I won’t wake up, but I’ve tried melatonin gummies, hydroxyzine, trazadone, gabapentin( all prescribed) … on the other side of it above all get alarm clock a real one don’t rely on Alexa devices or phones solely, I appreciate the apps that tell me it’s time to wind down, I set them so it’s staggered in case I become numb to alarm/single reminder.

Yes since I change my diet I get better sleep

Honestly? I take Trazodone. I struggle falling asleep and staying asleep when I wake up. I was prescribed it, and it has been a huge difference!

Green noise helps me. YouTube. I use dark screen to avoid light distraction.

Rule number one - don’t eat to much before bed.

I use ‘binaural beats’ (look them up on Apple Music, Spotify, or YouTube!) they really help get my brain to calm down every night
