A thing I want to know if I’m alone on

So, I am on a team called “writers”. I am very crafty, but yet very ADHDed. I love to write, songwrite, crochet, this list could go on forever! But crafting is always making me mad when I mess up, but I still LOVE crafts! Can I have some people tell me that they have something that makes them mad sometimes, but they still LOVE it? I actually LOVE SO FUCKING MUCH playing piano and play it since I'm 4 years old, but every single time that I play a wrong note in front of anyone, I become so angry and so frustrated and AAAARGH But I still love piano✌

ALL OF THE TIME!!! I’m super creative and absolutely love to learn or expand my knowledge of different things. If it doesn’t turn out the way I want I get so mad!! Sometimes I might have just started a task and mess up immediately… let’s just say I have been through SO MUCH paper because the first couple of letters or drawings didn’t turn out the way I wanted. In college, I would take notes in class and come home and rewrite all of them because 1. I needed them and 2. I needed them to look a way that made sense in my brain 🧠

I think of crafting as advanced fidgeting. I knit wherever I am, and it’s more like “this helps me focus, and as a bonus ends up as a mitten”, than “this is going to be a product”.

Same with languages. I hate learning them, but I feel so proud when I can read something and understand it. If we talk specifically about crafting, I enjoy braiding wristbands. But braiding schemes are truly pain in my ass. Sometimes I want to burn them alive, but after I found out how to braid particular scheme it makes me sooo chill. Anyway it’s ok to be mad sometimes, I guess. Just appreciate moment that makes you happy and try to control harmful emotions during bad times. I know it’s hard, but it’s worth trying 👌🏻

It’s knitting in my case 😅. I love it but so often I just don’t have the patience! Sewing is similar but faster itself so it works better …

I love knitting 🧶 and sewing 🧵. When I get frustrated I’ve learned to just walk away and take a break. Then when I come back to my project I can look at it again with a fresh perspective and move on. Hope that helps. If I’m really stuck I turn to YouTube.

Yes! I love to crochet a lot! It’s pretty much the same, just a few different things.
