I have 5 cats, 2 are long hair double coat. I have the same problem! SHEIN has lint removing brushes and whatnot, I use these before vacuuming and it helps with hair that won’t budge! Also highly recommend brushing your cats once a week, this helps with stopping the hair accumulating in their fur and then your house 😊 Good luck 🤞

Well, after 18yrs of living with the same long haired cat, it's something I'm rarely bothered by anymore 🤪 But I feel you, still. Shedding in pets is like a multi-factorial thing. The "wider" environment (air humidity in home, weather, seasons, etc.), the animal's direct surroundings (mostly food related stuff, but also stressy things like constant noises, human family problems, other animals, etc.), but also the pets themself (age, genetic predisposition, race, allergies, hormonal status, infections, etc.) have an influence. So, finding a reason for "over-shedding" is difficult. Possible solutions may be: regularly/often used brushes/coombs (with or without vacuum, dry or wet, as gloves or the special kind for thick fur, etc. - whatever works for your cats), food changes (diet for skin/hear health or low on allergens, supplements like (fish) oils, biotin, etc.), a vacuum robot (a lot don't have enough power for pet hairs, but still help to keep the "dirt level" lower), a professional cleaning person (if affordable, especially if needed more than once a week), and, to end my endless blabbing, trying to find a way of coexistence with cat hairs everywhere (and other "legacies" 😉). I hope you'll find a solution for you and your cats. It probably will take time and cost a lot of nerves, anyway.

Omg I’m the same drives me insane and i obsess over it

Okay so I have a very similar problem with my dog so I recently bought a dog/cat/pet grooming vacuum. My dog was obsessed with it and was falling asleep while I was using it on him. He loved it so much and I got so much loose hair from him. I really think it’s helped since using it. I have attached a picture of all the hair that I got off of him!

I had this problem until I decided to do some research and upgrade our vacuum cleaner to one with about 35…kwp? (Suction power) and well, $400 dollars later I finally feel like I got the majority of the cat hair. We have 6, lol so I still TRY to vacuum everyday but we all know how that works out and it ends up being like every other day. It definitely made me cringe initially to spend that much money but it’s honestly one of the best investments I’ve made. That vacuum and the automatic litter box, I call ours The PooBot, (which I only have to take out the bag when it’s full, replace it and refill with new litter) are the BEST two investments I’ve made for keeping a house with six cats clean and smelling nice. I also researched the best litter for clumping/low tracking. Another thing to look into is the ingredients in their food, gluten is a know allergen that can cause skin issues and I think excessive shedding falls under that, and nutritional supplements like fish oil can help with shedding by promoting healthy growth. But I’m not a vet so don’t listen to me haha Research for yourself to decide the best options for your babies, who are super cute btw. ☮️✌🏻❤️🦄🫡✊ PLUR
