Atomoxetine

Hi. Can I ask anyone who is on Atomoxetine, how do you find it? What is it doing to help you? I've been on it for 3 weeks now, and I have just found I'm really tired and just can't be bothered with anything! Granted I've had a cold for a week, so I'm just wondering if it's the meds or just my body. I find my mind is still as hectic as ever, but I just don't have the drive to do, literally, anything just now. How is Atomoxetine supposed to make you feel? because minus the lack of motivation, I'm not feeling anything different.

Hi there. Aw im sorry to hear you aren't having a good time of it 😔 i ended up on it for around 2 months then after speaking to my psych about it, i was switched to Dexamfetamine. The Atomoxetine really negatively affected my mood. I found the longer i took it, the lower my mood got and I didnt feel any benefit of it ADHD wise. It also ended up disrupting my heart rate. So it definitely wasnt for me but i do know a lot of people on it who swear by it! It just wasnt for me unfortunately. I've been on 3 different adhd meds now and found all of them affected my appetite, I lost it completely with all of them but it has always stabled out again. How long have you been on it? Do you have a medical professional you can speak to about your side effects?

there’s a lot fluctuations in mood, can’t eat food tho I’m hungry, feeling like someone is constantly pressing and releasing my wind pipe
