How to make things fun

I find cleaning to be overwhelming and boring. I find exercise to been just plain boring even with music going. I need to do these things but I can’t bring myself to. I procrastinate, avoid it by ignoring it, find anything else that I ‘like’ to do instead. Or I’ll buy all this stuff telling myself it’s going to help me do the thing, and still not do the thing. I’m honestly not sure how to get myself to just do the things. Any suggestions?

I have said it many times on here, but for cleaning I use the Tody app (not even sure what it stands for). It breaks cleaning down into small, digestible tasks each day. Just a quick pickup in the living room, wipe the kitchen countertops, dust the office, kind of thing. The tasks are based on how often you want to accomplish them and how “heavy” the task is.
