I was diagnosed in my 20s, as a kid teachers told my mother they thought I was on drugs (as darly as the age of 9) because I couldn't focus enough to learn anything at school and was constantly daydreaming and doodling in my books instead. Wish I had been diagnosed back then to get help earlier, but then again, not sure I would have gotten any good help anyway.. Because of this I have tried my best to get my kids to go through evaluation to see if they have it too, as early as possible.. But unfortunately the Healthcare and schools are always trying to push back and downtalk everything I'm saying as if I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I wish I could have been diagnosed when I was a kid. I was always called lazy with potential. My life could have ended up so differently. 😢 Now that I’m on medication and the fog has lifted it’s like living a completely different life. A really good “normal” life. 🙏🏻

Feel this, so hard. Even after Dx, minimal support, no treatment. 2025, y'all...time figure stuff out! (Medical community, mean. 😏😊)

It is really important to find someone that is well versed in ADHD and also keeps up with the new information coming out. It also really helps to find someone that you can connect with. That is how you get the best results.
