I’m too lazy to clean my house

Why is it difficult for you to clean your house on time, and how do you overcome this challenge?

I usually need a “good reason” to clean the House, or else Im not doing it. Because of the lack of dopamin.. so maybe have something that you look forward to after. Then it might motivate you.

I find using this app to brain dump helps. Gives me a checklist of small things to feel accomplished.

I think about that too, focus on one thing like for example "today I'm doing the laundry" and even if I get distracted I always come back to the laundry. It doesn't work every time but sometimes it helps to finish a task. If that help a little ☁️

Marie Kondo helped me...you have to take it easy anyway! I still have many things to improve but some short clues are: try to have few things...you need to excersice your capability of choosing what really matters for you, the true is the less you have, the less to manage. Give things a place and give them back to it like if it were a holy matter (I keep struggling with it but when I can remember the awfull feeling of my desorder y respect it) and finally, do It instantly, once You postpone Puting the thing back or do some cleaning that take you few minutes, you are feeding your desorder snowball. Send u hugs!

I do crafts until i am gonna drop. Especially painting and then I’m too sore to clean up, so, my house is a disaster and it’s embarrassing. I spin in corcles trying to clean but it looks like I accomplish nothing. Frustrates me to no end!

Kinda funny but i've used to invite people at my house so i force myself to clean all, somehow that pressure makes me very efficient, hope that's helpful :)

Every day struggle for me too. I’ve also been trying to break stuff up into smaller tasks each day & get done what I can. Some days it’s more than others. Sometimes I have to even put my tasks into a spinner app to have it tell me which task to do first, etc cuz my brain goes on extreme overdrive and even knowing what to do first wears me out

It happens to all of us, so try not to feel guilty for it ☹️. This is how our brain is, doesn't like repetitive and non-dopamine tasks as always 🫠. My suggestion is trying not to look this as "cleaning the whole house at once". Maybe dividing this task pieces and spreading it to whole week, or a couple of days may help. (Tasks like: "vacuum the kitchen", "mop the saloon", "dust the bedroom" etc. 😊

I struggle daily with this. I set reminders on my Alexa to tell me to do things.
