Embarrassing Q from 13 yo boy: Did u wet the bed as a kid? đł
Now Iâm gonna ask an embarrassing question. Itâs something I think is really hard and Iâd like to hear if u adults also had problems like not waking up at night when u need to pee? I have this problem almost every night and Iâve had it my whole life. Itâs super embarrassing but the last few years Iâve really been trying not to feel ashamed about it, so itâs kinda like training for me to dare talk and ask about this. My dad and my uncle (heâs a psychologist) say itâs good to challenge yourself with things ur scared of but that arenât really dangerous, coz then it gets easier not to be scared. And this feels like a safe enough place to start. I sleep with âprotectionâ so I donât have to wake up in a wet bed in the middle of the night, but that also makes me not always dare to do sleepovers with friends I donât know really well, coz Iâm scared theyâll tease me. I tried that alarm thing but it didnât work, it just made me super tired coz I woke up but it was already too late anyway. I also got a nose spray but that didnât work either and it just made me feel kinda sick. Did anyone else have the same thing when u were a kid or teen? Was there something that helped? When did it stop and what made it stop? Did u have tricks or stuff u did or maybe things u said to make it feel less super embarrassing? How did ur friends react when they found out? Is it anything you can tell me to make it a little easier? đ€â€ïž I hope I get some answers coz it was pretty hard to write this đłđ«Łđ
