25 min work / 5 min break works best for me

It worked for me until I got bored with it, which I seem to recall was pretty quickly. I used another app called Flora, where you put in the amount of time that you spend on a project, and how long a break you want to have after. It worked well until it didn’t, but was a lot more interesting than the Pomodoro technique. (Similar concepts)

No I hate it because the amount of free time you get doesn’t feel like enough of a reward for the work time

I only use it in emergencies when I need to get something done very soon. Additionally it’s good to use when I want to have a general idea of how long it takes me to do something( ie. 5min timers while I sketch out designs. Let’s me know how long a small sketch can take)

it's important to break the non-starting point, how you do it, doesn't matter in my opinion. For homework I use gamification- ask random Persons in which order i should do a,b,c,d and during I wait for answers, I usually start already, 'cause I'm bored

Horrid. I can do it if I have to but I don’t recommend for something you need to be immersed in for example me doing footnotes or writing.

It’s useful for me. For some tasks the standard length of 25 minutes is too long, but you can change it to what fits the best. Maybe it’s 15 minutes working and 5 minutes resting. Something is better than nothing 🤗

I use it when I’m for example ironing clothes. I set a timer and battle myself. After the short break i try to surpass myself. Also i use it when I get distracted at work with something more interesting on my phone. I use the Flora app then because I can block the usage of certain apps during the defined pomodoro running time 😅. Maybe this could be an imteresting functionality for Numo as well!?

I have ADHDer friends who use pomodoros with tremendous success, but for myself it has never worked. I think the lack of efficacy for me might be related to being Autistic as well, but I’m not sure. I’m interested in knowing if any other AuDHDers have similar experiences.

It really works once I remember to use it 😬 I usually go with "study with me" sessions on youtube, cause the music helps...kinda turns into white noise

Yes, music it’s very important to get right level of distraction, I mean balance between underdistracted and overdistracted

For me personally, both yes and no, honestly. When I have a clear, detailed plan and I’m in a good mental state, Pomodoro can actually work for me. But if I don’t have a plan, I get distracted almost immediately. And yeah, we all know Pomodoro is one of the most recommended methods for ADHD. But real life is more nuanced than that.

For me pomerdoro is overrated because I can’t focus in short bursts. Thanks for the advice btw

Pomodoro can be as short as 5min, or as long as 90min.

btw, Numo has Pomodoro timer - just click on each task and start timer
