Just wondering if anyone else in this group also struggles with avoidant restrictive food intake disorder?

3 years agoMy kids have it and it's definitely a struggle! People have always told me to make my kids eat what I make for dinner or face consequences, but I feel like that is cruel. I wouldn't want to be forced to eat something I don't want to eat!

3 years agoYes, I struggle with this one really bad. It has gotten so bad over the last two years that I’m down to a 100 pounds currently. I see doctor after doctor and so far nothing has helped me with it. I managed to get by until I turned 33 and it’s been a plague on me ever since. I can’t eat something that I don’t want to or if I’m not hungry enough to eat, otherwise I will get sick and it doesn’t stay down. I don’t know what to do about it but I really want to find a way to make it not an every day thing.
