External accountability helps. For example, if you’re learning a musical instrument, doing it within a group or with someone you respect and care about really helps.
Getting organized daily through morning and evening routines (no matter how chaotic our life goes) also helps.
But, after all, what you’re talking about is a well known ADHD rhythm. Not saying this to give up – but to emphasize that accepting our life trajectories regarding this point also helps…. We just do our best every day, and surrender the result – regardless of how amazing or horrible that result is.
(And of course, i’m saying all the above to myself as well…)
