Can you give an example? Memory experts will tell you to repeat the name several times to help you remember it. It never dawned on me that that would bother somebody. This is in response to the comment of not liking when your name is repeated in a sentence when someone is talking to you.
Hia 😊. It’s when my name is said at all in a sentence. If someone starts a sentence by saying “Tracy…can you blah blah” so saying my name, then asking a question I feel fine. But I notice that if someone’s already part in the conversation and says “do you…blah blah blah Tracy?” It makes me feel all this intense and uncomfortable feelings hearing my name. It’s so strange
Welcome! You might try putting a reminder on your calendar to check back in on the app after a 2 week period (or however long it usually takes for the shiny to wear off 😆) that helps me, especially if something was really working for me
Hello 😊. Definitely the use of the sub tasks and breaking things down so they don’t appear as too big a task
Welcome! I'm new here too. What's been the most useful feature so far, iyo? I like hearing others describing things I've experienced and not feeling so alone in this neurotypical world
I get what you mean about it helping not feel so alone in this world. Today I heard a lady who is audhd on insta say that she doesn’t like it when people say her name in a sentence when they’re talking to her. I thought it was just an odd thing of mine.
