Yes, there are especially some that I find so annoying that they make me feel super tense inside.
I‘m only bothered if it’s a lot of different noises I have to analyze or I‘m out of mental capacity for the day
Loud sudden sounds like a school or office fire alarm or even a loud drilling noise while I am asleep close by unfortunately sends me into a seizure. However, certain sounds can really drive me over the edge of a really deep dark cliff.
As a child anything sudden and loud (fireworks, fire alarms (covering my ears during fire drills) Teen years, anything loud. Tornado testing, is the old air raid sirens (during summer on first Friday of the month at noon… it lasts for three minutes) Concerts, firetruck and EMS sirens
Sounds of people on a video call, feedback, motorcycle, car, horn, dog barking
Is it all sounds or some sounds for you. For me some sounds drive me crazy. For example brushing the hand over fabric makes my skin crawl 🙈
I went into the kitchen and they had put a sonic device to scare away mice, I came out with my hands over my ears and my sisters didn't hear absolutely anything. Anyway, we turned it off.
I recently noticed that, too. I have suddenly became too sensitive about the sounds in my home like fridge is louder than before and the weird ringing sounds. It gets annoying worse since the summer break started.
