What do you do when you’re overwhelmed on what needs to be done?

I’m more of do nothing and try to relax, idk why but I’ve always shut down when overwhelmed.

Sometimes I wrap up in a blanket until the overwhelm softens, then do something small and doable to start moving again. This is when it's good to replace harsh thoughts with kind thoughts for myself.

I try to get closer in circles, if I can't perform, I'm doing another important tasc to prove me, I'm able to move. Sometimes it helps already... but if it's very overwhelming I don't know...

I often try to re-plan the task and see what I can do, without deadline. I start doing until my day (or time) is up!

I usually do something else and hope the problem fixes itself.

Same here, except it never does it on itself, doesn't it?😓

I shut down and go off somewhere else to “hide” from my problems or emotions. I can now see this trait, looking back at when I was young. When My brothers and their wives (I’m nearly 18 years younger than my youngest brother 🫠😂 ) would leave my (parent’s) house, I would get sooooo emotional, and go sulk, cry, and hide either in a corner somewhere or behind one of the couches in the living room.

I get hyperfixated on something extremely not helpful and forget the stressor which leads to me missing deadlines, assignments and appointments

When I am overwhelmed, I can’t do anything, and I need quiet time alone
