Not officially diagnosed

Did your friend and family seem to be more understanding of your adhd after you were officially diagnosed? I finally made an appointment to go see a physiatrist for an official diagnosis however I have always known there was something different about me. With that being said I am hoping that with an official diagnosis the people that I respect the most will be more open minded to why I don’t do things the same as they do.
