Using headphones help me focus

Does anyone relate to this ….I can stay more focus and motivated when using headphones. Is easier to complete task and whats in front of me .Is like it turns off all the distracting things around me .

I’m actually the opposite. I’m very musically oriented, so I actually need silence to focus and concentrate. With music I am constantly picturing the sheet music in my head, recreating a loop with different instruments, thinking about how I would revamp it for The Voice if I were a contestant, or singing the lyrics. 😂

Long before I even had a diagnosis, or even a suspicion, I needed headphones to do assignments and tests in class. I had a lot of teachers who actually understood and let me use my headphones, as long as the volume was low. Keep in mind, I graduated high school in 2007, so those teachers must've have been damn cool and understood neurodivergence before it was as commonly understood as it is today
