Today my dad spilled coke on the carpet and my mom scolded him so much. I'm not sure if my mom has ADHD but my dad does and she might be neurodivergent. My parents always yell and when I try to calm them down they start yelling at me. It's so tiring and even my therapist told me that they should work on themselves and not only me because I don't have anger issues anymore

Makes sense to me - I hope your parents come to that realization and work on managing their emotions! I never learned how to manage emotions from my family. I’m positive that my dad has undiagnosed ADHD and when he got mad when I was a child, it would scare me so much. I got used to reading the “temperature” of the room and keeping my mouth shut so I didn’t have to deal with his anger. I have learned for myself that I have intense emotions as well. If I get angry, I have to walk away and cool down before I take my anger out on someone else.
Hi bro I’m so sorry for you 😢 I live with just my dad but I have friends with parents like yours and sometimes they like stay at my house for like the whole weekends cuz there parents fights so much. Then one of my friend hade stayed with us for a week my dad called his parents and told them to come visit us. Then I don’t know exactly what he said to them cuz me and my friend had to go out and play cuz it was an adult only conversation but my friend hugged my dad a week later then he been at home and visit us again and said thank you to dad cuz they had stopped screaming in front of him. They still fight but dad have told them that if you need to fight, drop of your son at our place first cuz it’s not good to him to listen to them and they do so sometimes he just like know in the door in the evening and I se his dad drive away and then he stay over night even day before school. Then dad is always like extra nice to him. I know you are not a little boy like me but you are 17 so still a child so maybe you have some good friend that have parents that can help you talk to your parents? Adults are better at listening to other adults I think. I don’t think it’s up to you to make them stop screaming. You need an adult to tell them.

Everything feels better. I don't have to deal with some roommates or my parents now. You can be independent one day! Um...that's just my personal opinion. Because it's hard to solve the problems between parents because somehow they didn't consider my opinions as equal since I relied on them when I was living with them.
