Time blindness

Does anyone else struggle significantly with time blindness? It could be 3 hours & it will feel like 30 minutes have passed by. At the same token I will drive myself CRAZY feeling like I’m missing out on something or I should be doing something when I have actual free time to myself… then can’t decide what to do. TIA sending lots of positive vibes to everyone & well Wishes for a great weekend 🫶🏼💕

totally agree. what i do is set a timer and let it repeat for every 4 mins. so that way i keep getting reminders that 4 mins has gone by. lol

Definite struggles. I got a Time Timer and that helps. My psychiatrist told me to get clocks for every room.

I don't know how we are already in June, or where the week end has gone. But if I set up an alarm for 10-20 mn most of the time I will know exactly when it's about to ring.

Yes. It’s usually my disassociated state.

Unfortunately yes, I can feel like it has been 10 mins but magically 6hrs has gone by 😕

Yep, time blind as can be. Turns out having an Apple Watch is absolutely pointless beyond making a stellar tan line unless you charge it.

Time blindness is a struggle. As ADHDers we need constant reminders of time. It can be a large numeric clock, it can be frequent alarms, personally, I currently use Google Assistant Routines! It announces the time, and periodically provides me new tasks (for example in the morning : make my bed, prepare breakfast, eat, take my meds, brush my teeth…). It currently helps me a lot!

Yep I’m with you. Wearing a watch is helpful because if I have to find a clock or dig in my purse to find my phone just to know the time, I don’t bother. But none of my watches have working batteries, so maybe I’ll remember to buy some.

My time blindness is the other way around where it feels like an hour has passed but it’s only been ten minutes when i look at the clock. This happens mainly when i have nothing to do to make the time go by faster at work. But if Im super busy at work then the whole morning can go by and it’s lunch already but feels like I just got to work an hour ago. Love when that happens.

Hello, it's common for many of us to struggle with time blindness. Personally, I track time by using a reminder app and setting alarms. I hope it helps 🫶🏻
