Unfortunately the thing that worked best for me was to first to meal prep, and then have someone to actually make me eat normal food 🙃 I struggle a lot with understanding my hunger cues, so I stay a lot without eating until I’m so hungry that I’ll eat anything that’s easily available, which is often snacks. So having someone to help me with it actually helps. I think this is not super useful, sorry

I get pain from eating sugar, that was my 'motivation' to quit sugar snacks. The salty snacks (crisps) stopt, when i had really aweful tasting crisps. I told myself: i'm only allowed to by new crisps if the bad tasting ones are empty. That worked for me. And at work: in the morning i prepare some cucumber or carrot with my NicerDicer. Takes 5 minutes but during the day i always have a healty snack

I’m not so much into snacks but I love my dad’s chocolate hack: 1. don’t have snacks at home or 2. have them at home but hide them so you forget about them 😅.

I dont really have any tips, but just try to do what I try to do: Breakfast Healthy or salty snack (you don’t have to do this snack) Lunch Salty snack (you want to do this snack) Dinner Dessert/sugar snack(you don’t have to do this one) Do at least 2 snacks a day… use this list in order, top to bottom, and try it…. This is usually what I do!

Depending on what your typical go-to snacks are, they might not just be "like” an addiction. Sugar and highly processed food is addictive. Processed food is literally designed to be as satisfying (hence addictive) as possible. From taste, to texture, to ingredients. ADHD brains are especially susceptive to addictions. And if your drug of choice is food, than this will have a stronghold on you. I was there. And the only thing that helped me was, that I came to a point, where I didn’t want to be a slave to this anymore. I deliberately decided to break this bond and stopped eating sugar (and anything with added sugar), simple carbs (like bread, pasta) and any highly processed foods. The start wasn’t easy, but I kept reminding myself, that the only alternative was to return to being a slave to my food urges for the rest of my life, and I didn’t want to do that. It’s been over two years now, and I’ve never felt better 🍀 If you make this decision, you can do this too 💪🏻 If you need help or want to know more, feel free to ask - I believe in you 🍀

Attack the calorie intake instead of the stimulant activity. Decrease the calories on each snack, or divide it into smaller snacks. Healthy, nutrient-dense calories instead of sugar-packed ultra processed. Hope this helps a little, good luck 👍🏻🍀
