Easy breakfast ideas

What does everybody eat for breakfast? Quick, easy, made ahead. Give me all your ideas and or recipes please I’m sick of scrambled or sunny side up eggs with toast or cottage cheese with fruit or tomatoes and green onions.

I grab a protein granola bar and a banana on my way out the door.

Porridge is my go to - the quick oats that can be microwaved are my usual go to although I’ve been using the less processed oats more nowadays Also overnight oats is nice and low effort but you need to remember to make them and pop the bowl in the fridge the night before

You could also try 200 gms of ricotta, 250 ml of water, 50ml of milk, 2 spoons of cocoa powder (not the one with added sugar!!) and 2-3 small spoons of homey. Blend and you have a great protein shake with great fats etc. also has „only“ 500 calories

For me the easiest is: oats (50gms), frozen mixed berries without sugar (50gms), a tablespoon of almonds chopped and four dried apricots chopped. Add some milk and zap it for about 90 seconds in the microwave. It has a bit of sweetness, goes fast (takes around 5 minutes tops for all) and has no highly processed ingredients.

chia pudding. Soak chia seeds in yogurt or milk overnight with whatever fruit you would like. You can also make lots of it for the week.

Definitely a fruit person for breakfast. I’ve started rinsing and removing stems when I bring them home from the grocery store, and it cuts down any prep when I want something to snack on.

During the week, I eat Weetabix for breakfast, as it requires no prep (except warming the milk if you’re like me and prefer them squishy). You can add fruit or other things as you like :) It ensures I don’t have to worry about what to eat before work and keeps me full until lunch x

I make flour free muffins. They are jammed packed full of oatmeal, blueberries, banana, different seeds. I freeze them in 2 packs and take them out in the morning before I shower and ready by the time I am and have coffee made.

I mainly eat eggs, in various forms. From scrambled to omelette to boiled. Sometimes I switch it up a bit and eat a sandwich with rye bread. But I’m all about savoury breakfast. Plus tea of course!

And I'm Norwegian, and in Norway we eat bread with cheese, ham, salami, jam, fish (pickled, salted or smoked) or any condiment you can put on a slice of bread to any meal but dinner. Preferably whole grain, for me at least, since it lasts longer and is healthier. All nordic countries use bread much more than many other countries, but I think Norway surpasses them all. Quick and easy, and with good bread its really tasty too!

Whole grain (the uncrushed type) barley porridge is so yummy! I make a big batch, store it in the fridge and eat it cold or heated in the microwave, natural or with fruits or jam. No need for sugar or any other sweetener since the barley is so sweet itself.

Oatmeal w/ blueberries is the new fave, but for years it was egg whites w/ spinach over toast. I don’t mind a little effort in the AM; it’s lunch and dinner where I have trouble tolerating effort.

Microwaveable quick cook oat sachets :) mix in a sachet with water then microwave. Add a plate underneath to catch any spills. After it’s cooked, throw in cinnamon powder and brown sugar, or different fresh fruit toppings.

Protein shake or eggs. Eggs in a mini frying pan take about 3 min to cook

I keep my pantry stocked with Soylent drinks and grab one of those when I need a quick breakfast. If I’m up early and will have to wait awhile for lunch, I also grab some fruit or a packaged snack and throw that in my bag too.
