Quitting social media
I always think I can manage scrolling/social media use when I go on. I really can’t, it makes my symptoms worse, and affects my success. SM is an emotional crutch and an addictive one at that. I’m finally quitting (tried last week but went back after a few days) and am putting it out there for accountability.

I did this a good few months ago. The amount of time I got back was immense, not to mention the positive impact on getting to sleep, less depressive mindset, and most importantly, being present with my wife and kids. Don’t look back! I found a total ban worked best for me (apps and accounts) and only after a few months click on links sent by WhatsApp etc but selectively, and through a browser, not the SM app (minimises temptation). The moment doom scrolling ensues… full ban back on.
